In 2022, the Foundation structure transitioned from a community board to a family board and granting priorities and strategies changed; however, our investment in the Small Arts Grants Fund continued unchanged.
In 2023, the Francis Family Board approved 41 Small Arts Grants Fund applications totaling $250,000. The following small arts organizations received $10,000 each, the maximum investment allowed: Band of Angels, Art as Mentorship, Storling Dance Theater, Interurban Art House, No Divide KC, Stone Lion Puppets, and Traditional Music Society.
Community Housing of Wyandotte County (CHWC, Inc.), a non-arts organization, also received a $10,000 grant for Arts Programming.
