GRANT ELIGIBILITY

The Francis Family Foundation accepts applications several times during the year. Typically, Arts & Culture applications are considered in the fall and Lifelong Learning applications in the spring. Foundation funding is specific to the areas of interest in our strategic plan. All requests for funding should follow the instructions posted in this section of the website and use the online submission process. Other unsolicited proposals will be declined. Online applications are now available for submission in 2007.

  • The applying nonprofit organization must:
    • be geographically located within the greater Kansas City area (60-mile radius) and
    • have a federal Internal Revenue Service determination letter of tax-exempt status, including the federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).
  • Grants are not made to individuals for any purpose.
  • To determine if your organization might qualify for funding in this grant cycle, please review important information under:

Pulmonary Research

Capital Campaigns

The Foundation occasionally may support capital campaigns that show community-wide interest and impact. Ideally, capital campaign requests should fall within the Foundation’s local areas of interest. (Refer to our Strategic Plan for local areas of interest.)
